ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES
Applicants must meet the following requirements to gain admission to the Academy of Massage Therapy:

Must possess a high school diploma, GED or its equivalent. |

Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Applicants who are either 16 or 17 years of age may be admitted upon parental consent. |

Must be in good health and be physically able to perform the functions of a massage therapist. |
Follow these steps to make application for admission to the Academy of Massage Therapy:

First, contact the admissions office and schedule an admissions interview. |

Second, complete your admissions interview with one of our Admissions Representatives. |
 |
Third, complete an application form available from your admissions representative and submit it along with the required $50 application fee. |

Fourth, meet with the financial aid office to apply for
financial aid, make payment arrangements, and sign your enrollment agreement. |

Fifth, submit a copy of your high school diploma, ged or equivalent. |
 |
Sixth, submit a health form completed by your physician evidencing your good health and ability to perform the functions of a massage therapist

Class sizes are limited, so if you are interested in becoming a member of this exciting profession, make application as soon as possible. All admission decisions are made by the Director of the School and will be issued within one week from the date application is made. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Academy of Massage Therapy is approved by the Department of Homeland Security (formerly called the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)) to issue I-20’s to foreign, non-immigrant students through the SEVIS program.
The Department of Homeland Security requires you to provide documentation of financial resources needed to pay for your course of study and other living expenses while attending in the United States of America. Prospective students should secure the appropriate financial support documents prior to contacting the school for admission purposes, if possible.
The process to secure an I-20 student visa can take several weeks, so international students should make application to the school as soon as possible to ensure all approvals are issued by Homeland Security in time for your program commencement.
Our staff of trained I-20 specialists will work personally with each committed international student to make the visa process go as smoothly as possible. In addition, the school works with several immigration attorneys that can assist you in the visa process.
Academy of Massage Therapy does require a $2,000.00
refundable tuition deposit in order to process an I-20 application through the SEVIS system.
